Review Design Labels and apply needed changes. Please look out for anything that looks off and needs to be fixed, there are ten label variations and it will be easiest just to go through and make changes to each one. If applying to the job give me an estimate on price/time needed to finish the job.
Some changes need to be made in order for the PDF files to be “print ready.”
All type needs to be converted to outlines.
The label size that Rachel gave me for these labels is 15” wide by 3.9375” tall. Your artwork is 15.72” wide by 4.89” tall, so needs to be resized to the correct dimensions.
There must be a margin of at least 1/16” between any text, graphics (except background graphics that “bleed” off the edge), UPC codes, etc. and the edge of the label. Some of the content is too close to the edge of the label.
Please add a second layer in your files named CUTLINE and put a rectangle around the edge of the label to show the printer where to cut. This rectangle should be the dimensions of the label: 15” wide by 3.935” tall with either square or rounded corners. The line should be 100% of one of the process colors (cyan, magenta, yellow, or black) and should be set to “overprint stroke” in attributes. The rectangle should be the only thing on the cutline layer. We usually use magenta. The printer does “custom cuts” for all labels, so needs this guideline to go by.
The circles around GMO FREE, SOY FREE, DAIRY FREE look irregular. Is that intentional? If you want them to be round circles, you will need to replace them with that shape.
Final PDF files should be saved with trim marks, page information, and including document bleed (see attached screen capture).
